Looking for the first step in working with scuba as a career? Your adventure into the professional levels of recreational scuba diving begins with the PADI Divemaster program. Working closely with a PADI Instructor, in this program you expand your dive knowledge and hone your skills to the professional level. PADI Divemaster training develops your leadership abilities, qualifying you to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with student divers. PADI Divemaster is the prerequisite certification for the PADI Instructor Certification

What can PADI Divemasters do?
Work at local dive centers, on live-aboard dive boats, yachts and at exotic
   resort locations
Assist PADI Instructors with students
Lead PADI Scuba Divers on guided dive tours
Teach and certify PADI Skin Divers
Teach PADI Discover Snorkeling programs
Conduct PADI Scuba Review programs for certified divers
Lead certified divers on Discover Local Diving experiences
Teach Emergency First Response programs after successful completion of an
   Emergency First Response Instructor course.
Earn the PADI Digital Underwater Photographer Specialty Instructor rating to be able to teach the PADI Underwater Digital Photographer Specialty.

What do I need to start?
PADI Open Water Diver or qualifying certification from another training
   organization
PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or qualifying certification from another
   training organization.
 PADI Rescue Diver or qualifying certification from another training
   organization.
 PADI Emergency First Responder or qualifying certification from another
   training organization.
 Medical clearance signed by a physician
 20 logged dives to start (60 logged dives to receive certification)
 18 years old

What will I do?
During the PADI Divemaster program, you learn dive leadership skills through both classroom and independent study. You complete water skills and stamina exercises, as well as training exercises that stretch your ability to organize and solve problems as well as help others improve their scuba skills. You put this knowledge into action through a series of practical training exercises.

Where will I be diving?
You will be enjoying some of the best reef locations Key Largo and Pennekamp Park have to offer, including Molasses Reef, French Reef, Benwood Wreck, Christ of the Deep, and Snapper Ledge to name a few. During the PADI Divemaste Course you will also be diving the famous wrecks of the LSD Spiegel Grove and the USCG Duane

What is a PADI Career Development Center?
A PADI 5 Star Career Development Center (CDC) is given to PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centers (IDC) that dedicate their businesses to professional development beyond regular instructor training. Career Development Centers offer vocational oriented continuing education training to prepare individuals for dive industry careers and provide job placement services within the dive industry.

Students taking programs through a PADI Career Development Center can be assured of the highest level of education and a level of commitment from their Instructors to ensure their success. Students may also bypass certain prerequisites by taking a career program offered by a Career Development Center that cannot be bypassed by a regular 5 Star IDC.
